President Trump Appoints Brad Parscale As Campaign Manager
President Trump announced his new campaign manager on Tuesday.
Though Brad Parscale is President Trump’s new campaign manager, he is hardly new to the Trump circle. Parscale previously served as the digital director for Trump’s 2016 campaign. His investment in Facebook advertising during the campaign was a particularly effective cornerstone of Trump’s win. The strategy allowed the Trump campaign to interact directly with the voters and was essential in reaching rural voters. Prior to that, Parscale has worked on various projects for Trump since 2011
During a 60 Minutes interview Parscale said this, “I understood early that Facebook was how Donald Trump was going to win. Twitter is how he talked to the people. Facebook was going to be how he won.”
Despite his immersion in the digital aspects of Trump’s campaign, Parscale has yet to become entrenched in the Russia investigation. He vehemently denies any knowledge of Russian meddling. Considering his effectiveness in his previous role, Parscale appears to be completely up to the task. The 2020 election promises to be a particularly difficult one and no doubt Trump wants to be sure that Parscale’s skills be maximized.
