Hope Hicks Named White House Communications Director

Hope Hicks was named interim White House communications director in August after the departure of Sean Spicer and Anthony Scaramucci.
Hicks was one of the first staffers to join Trump’s campaign.
Her association with Trump began while she was working for Hiltzik Strategies, a New York public relations firm. She eventually left the firm to work for the Trump Organization on several projects. The long time working relationship seems to have stood against the multiple battles that have occurred within the Trump administration since his election.
There has been a struggle to fill the communications director position since Trump was elected in November, primarily due to resignations of those chosen to fill it. Still, Hicks seems to be approaching the job in a much different way than her predecessors, leading those watching to believe that her accession might be more long term.
